Day One Report - Fiesta Cluster

Max ran so nice and calm in Excellent Standard, hit all his contacts, and popped out of the weave poles - no Q.

Jumpers was a pretty nice course and he worked well but popped out of the tunnel. No Q.

I can't complain - he is working well in the heat and being very good - it will all come together this weekend!

Stan did not want to be outshone...he was Winners Dog for one point. It was really hot but he showed pretty well. The 6-9 month puppy did not show up so it was 1 point instead of 2. Stan beat the 12-18 month dog and tomorrow they will be in the class together as it is Stanley's birthday!

That's all for now!

Easily amused

Stan gets a crack at single-serving tuna cups after I've eaten the tuna.

Numnumnum toooona!

I'm having a very good day

Can you tell?

No agility for Max this weekend after all. The rings are ankle-deep sloppy mud and it's simply not safe to run him. He'll have to finish next weekend in Arizona!

Lions and Tigers and Bears, Oh My!

I'm getting a little nervous about managing my sanity on our upcoming road trip. Nothing like having to be in 2+ rings at once!

The Del Mar show this coming weekend looks OK, if a little tight - Max in Jumpers around 8:30 and in Standard around 10:00, Stanley in the breed ring around 10:45-11:15 (depending on the day).

But after that the 4-day weekend of shows and trials in Arizona...total insanity. The agility and conformation schedules are different every day but suffice it to say, I will be busy!

The boys say THEY are ready for whatever comes!

SNOW!

Before I forget, some pictures from Stanley's first visit to snow last weekend. Do you think he liked it?

Winners Dog

Stanley took home the points in dogs both days this weekend at the Santa Clara Valley Kennel Club show. It was hot and crowded and noisy in the buildings and the puppy was a bit excited but he held up pretty well for me! Picture are a bit fuzzy but you get the idea...

Stanley's lovely mother Maude

Even when out of focus, she's gorgeous! Last weekend Maude finished her Open Jumpers title with a 1st place and went on to compete in Excellent for the first time. Here is part of her Excellent run.

And a couple of Max's runs from the weekend: Jumpers and Standard (only partial).

How's this for one handsome boy?

He's getting there....

Max picked up 16 more points this weekend. Only 18 to go until MACH! Our next agility trial will be in Del Mar at the end of February...
