8 weeks until Vineman

Lots of fun to come in the next 4 weeks. I'm hitting the middle - and probably most important - stretch of training for Vineman 70.3 (my half-Ironman triathlon coming up in July). I just got the latest installment of the training plan. Looks like I will be skipping those agility trials I entered and focusing on one and only one thing!

Week 5:
  • Monday: OFF
  • Tuesday: Swim 1750 yds, Bike 1:15-1:30 Include 5x3m Hills
  • Wednesday: Run 50m Include 5x2m Hills
  • Thursday: Swim 2400 yds, Bike 1:30 steady
  • Friday: Run 50m steady
  • Saturday: Swim 2000 yds, Bike 3:15-3:30 and run 20m
  • Sunday: Run 1:50 steady
Week 6:
  • Monday: OFF
  • Tuesday: Swim 2000 yds, Bike 1:30 Include 1x20m L3/4
  • Wednesday: Run 50m Include 3x5m L3/4
  • Thursday: Swim 2600 yds, Bike 1:30-1:45 Include 1x10m L3
  • Friday: Run 50m Include 1x10m L3 near end of run
  • Saturday: Swim 2000 yds, Bike 2:15-2:30 Run 1:00 (COMBINED)
  • Sunday: Swim 2000 yds
Week 7:
  • Monday: OFF
  • Tuesday: Swim 2000 yds, Bike 1:15-1:30 Include 6x3m Hills
  • Wednesday: Run 50m Include 6x2m Hills
  • Thursday: Swim 2750 yds, Bike 1:30 steady
  • Friday: Run 50m steady
  • Saturday: Swim 2200 yds, Bike 3:30 and run 20m
  • Sunday: Run 2:00 steady
Week 8:
  • Monday: OFF
  • Tuesday: Swim 1750 yds, Bike 1:15 Include 1x10m L4/5
  • Wednesday: Run 40m Include 1x6m L4/5
  • Thursday: Swim 2250 yds, Bike 1:15 Include 1x7m L3
  • Friday: Run 40m steady
  • Saturday: Swim 2000 yds, Bike 2:30 Run 1:00 (COMBINED)
  • Sunday: Run 45m steady

Am I insane????
