Freakshow

On Sunday we got the ultimate people-watching experience - a Raiders game in Oakland.  Jeff is from Massachusetts and the Raiders were playing New England so...there we were.

Fashion nightmares abound

Tailgating and hoping not to be shot

Pretty view on the long walk to the stadium

Typical Raiders fan

We did have great seats!

Most wrinkled head I've ever seen

After a day spent on my feet watching the game, I was a little worried about how my legs would hold up for Monday's 3:15 bike/run brick.  But it turned out great and my long run for the week was even faster than I'd hoped!

Celebratory ice bath

Tomorrow we leave for Kona - lots of training, meeting FB/blog friends, and fun ahead!

Welcome to Oakland. That pretty view is precisely where I would not run by myself when I was working down there. Nice trail, but kind of sketchy to be out there by yourself. Have a blast in Kona and take lots of pictures!
