Kona Day 2

Did my run in the dark on Ali'i Drive this morning so there are no photos.  After that it was time for a little swim.  (And I do mean little.  I was a big wimp about being out there in heavy chop with no wetsuit)  Kristi was very sweet about humoring me and making it a "social swim."

Finally meeting Michelle!

Post-swim breakfast at Lava Java, where a certain reigning IM champion (far left, in the back) was spotted out with his Specialized homies.

Yum, oatmeal.

A breakfast view that can't be beaten!

After much running around, I had my incredibly sore calves worked on at the ART tent and taped up by my doctor at the Rocktape booth and I was cranky and STARVING.  Back to Lava Java to pick up some to-go food that I ate right on the rock wall by the water.  Then I was in better spirits to join the guys who were having their lunch with this view.

I was still hungry so I finally got to try an acai bowl at a place I've had bookmarked for months, Basik Acai.  I had The Drifter ("An organic blend of raw cacao, açai and rice milk.  Topped with a layer of granola, banana, cacao nibs, crushed almonds, local strawberries and a drizzle of honey").  It was delicious.  I will be back for more before we leave!

It rained this afternoon (and again tonight walking home from dinner)!

Another day in paradise done!

Looks like such a fun trip! And, really, I want your body. Not in the creepy internet stalker way, but in the "you look amazing and I wish I had the perseverance to do what you do" kind of way. :)
