Coach’s email regarding today’s swim test (1000 yds):
WOO HOO!!!!
When we first tested you back in September '08 you came in over XX minutes. You have dropped over 5 minutes in less than 18 months! [16 months actually] THAT IS AWESOME!!!!
I think a year of growing real arm, shoulder and back muscles, for the first time ever, is finally starting to pay off and will hopefully lead to bigger swim gains as I have the muscle to work harder in the pool. At least, based on the pain emitting from those general regions right now, I should still have muscles next time I try to use them. Holy crap, my arms are sore. Thank the heavens tomorrow is a rest day.
Two tests down, one to go.

Must be awesome being you!
Uh... that sounds pretty snarky, doesn't it? Not meant to be. Might be run-off from our current conversation :)
Awesome improvement. Congrats.
Wow, congrats.
Personally I would like to have a swimmer back! Hey, another reason for tri! Having a swimmers back and cylists legs... What a combination! ;-)
LOL...I remember when you'd swim and your arms wouldn't be sore, and I'd think "WTH"? Because I couldn't move mine. Watch out, you "might" be becoming a swimmer...
Yay, great news. I think you have a great year ahead.
Congrats on the time drop, that's a huge decrease!!
Nicely done! What's your secret? Cuz I would kill for a drop of 5 min over 16 (or even 18) months! :)
Starting out painfully slow. Now I'm just slightly faster than a rock.
that's awesome! I think I need to take my swim test next week to see where I am at, but seriously. Having that kind of improvement at the start of the season is stellar!
5mins. Now THAT is freaking AWESOME. Congrats :-) Soon you will get all excited over 2second jumps :-)
Calling me out on the math again....I swear!! :)
Congratulations! You've worked hard for that "ripped" look!
Wow, Molly! That's a HUGE improvement! Five minutes in the water! Dang! That's like an hour on land! There's so much more to come for you too... I just know it! Way to go!
