Race Photos

I have a love-hate relationship with race photos and photographers.  I get all excited when I get the email that race photos are online, then inevitably I am disappointed at how tired/fat/etc I look when I see the pictures, after thinking I’d felt really strong when they were taken.

So anyway, a selection of the “official” photos from SVIT last Sunday.

Good photos! I specifically like the one of you running out of the swim...those are hard to come by...nice job ;-)

I'm the same way. I had way to much "bulge" in my Eagleman photos. Your's, however, look pretty good :-)

Girl.... Those are all good! I should send you some of mine to show you what bad race photos look like! I always have a pained expression on my face as if I am dying. I know what you mean though, I get excited that the pics are up then deflated when I see them. Lol.

Great photos. Not sure what you are complaining about - I cannot imagine your trendy self not looking good in photos.

I think those are all good shots.

Fat??!!

You're supposed to look tired and cranky in race photos because, well, it's a race and races hurt and make you tired and cranky. I'm not sure whose brilliant idea it was to stand on a race course and take pictures of people when they're all sweaty and disheveled and grimacing from the pain of it.

Love those pictures. You look great in all of them.

Hmmm, maybe you should lose some fat at your earlobes. ;-)

Seriously, I think most of us don't like our race photos. It's a common problem, but who cares as long as we finish and feel good about ourselves the pictures are irrelevant.

Have a great weekend.

I think these are good photos. I know what you mean though about waiting for them to be posted and then thinking... yuk!
I have never smiled in one race photo. ALl my friends do but my only focus when I see a photographer is to make sure I don't have chocolate GU all over my face or try to look like I can run (which I can't). I have never thought to smile...

Um, Molly... you need glasses. ;-)

You look amazing! They are all fantastic shots and I agree 100% with Melissa... your swim exit photo is awesome! Most folks look like they've just been resuscitated-- eyes all buggy from goggles, hair sticking out everywhere. You, on the other hand, look great. I would buy a frame for that one!

I understand the love-hate thing with photographers, but these shots are great!

You lied. You look GREAT in your race photos. I especially like the wetsuit one--you look so focused.
