Minutiae

I've made a few minor changes to my race schedule.  One weekend in June was better for a sprint tri than another.  One race still doesn't have a date for 2013 on the calendar.  I finally decided to give Rev3 a second chance and they went and cancelled the Portland race for 2013.  Such is life...

You may or may not have noticed the absence of sponsor graphics in my sidebar.  I've had a great time being part of some fun teams this year.  I really enjoyed the TrainingPeaks group and I think everyone knows how much I love the Aquaphor product.  But I decided this needed to be a year about me.  With some of the things I have planned, I don't feel like I have the bandwidth to worry about meeting sponsor requirements on top of everything else.  So I didn't apply for any teams for 2013.  Unless some huge and amazing opportunity comes up, it'll just be me and whatever kit I feel like wearing turning up at the start line this year.  And I'm good with that!

I'm so happy to be back to eating "normally" again after a couple rough weeks in Arizona.  Oh kale how I missed you!  It's incredible how I feel the difference immediately too.  Couple that with the 9+ hours of sleep a night I'm getting because the temperatures outside are in the 30s (and I don't wanna get out of bed, I'm sleepy by 8 or 9pm)...I might be the best rested I have ever been!  Now if only I can manage to carry this over into the later parts of the season :)

I hope everyone is having a great start to the first week of 2013!

After 2 weekends in a row at my parents' eating what most people would consider "healthy", I feel awful. I'd wake up there with stomach pains. Back to spinach laden smoothies for me!

I'm always amazed how much better I feel after I start to eat normally again too. Happy New Year!

I hate the idea of a diet, but after 2 weeks of indulging in every way possible, I can't wait to eat more veggies and less everything else!
